INTRODUCTION
ALPEIN Software SWISS AG (hereinafter ALPEIN) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. The following statement provides an overview of how we protect your personal data.
This privacy policy applies to our product and information websites (websites), web versions of applications and management platforms (web services) as well as to interactions you may have with ALPEIN (service requests, feedback messages, etc.) by email, telephone, on social networks, etc.
If you do not agree to the following terms, do not access or use the web services and websites.
This Privacy Policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is any information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

1. DATA WE COLLECT AND RECEIVE
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our services to you.
When ordering or registering on our websites and web services, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, phone number, address or other details to process an order or help you with your experience.
Information for marketing purposes may be used only with your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Types of data we collect and receive:
- Customer data. This is your personal data that you use to register and order our products: registration email, phone number, address, login and initial password (for some web services), support requests/messages.

We collect IP addresses, browser information (type and settings), date and time of access to websites and web services, language settings, device information (type, operating system, settings) and location information.
2. HOW WE USE THE DATA WE COLLECT AND RECEIVE
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways: to identify users identify users and provide them with products, support, services, mailings, sales and marketing promotions, to fulfill contractual obligations, to increase the efficiency and operation of the websites and web services, and to notify you of updates.
We use customer data to fulfill our contractual obligations and to support and inform customers.

3. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We do not conduct vulnerability scans and/or scans to PCI standards.
We do not conduct malware scans.
Your personally identifiable information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We have implemented a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order.
All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
Due to the nature of the Internet and data processing technologies, we cannot guarantee that the data will be absolutely safe from third-party intrusion while being transmitted over the Internet or while being stored by our company.
4. CONTROLLER AND PROCESSOR
Our goal is to keep your Personal Data safe. We store data on our private servers. According to the GDPR, ALPEIN acts as a controller as well as a processor. Our responsibilities as the controller are carried out when the end users of our Websites, Web Services and applications provide their Personal Data within the platforms. We act as processor when providing our products and services exclusively under the client administration, but with hosting maintenance on our servers. Consequently, ALPEINs duties are restricted solely to the information storage without having access to the Personal Data of the users.
5. DOES JIRA2SAP COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
No. JIRA2SAP and its free add-ons for Jira establish a connection between the Jira and SAP systems that works exclusively within our customers' environments. ALPEIN doesn't receive or store any information from it. Of course, due to the specific workflows of each of our customers, personal data may be transferred from their Jira system to SAP and vice versa, but this data isn't collected or stored by JIRA2SAP, JIRA2SAP is only a means of data transfer in this case.
6. DO WE USE “COOKIES”
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies, for example, to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, enabling us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
We do not host third-party products or services on our website.
We do not use social media plug-ins on our websites, so your information cannot be transferred to social network providers.
Under certain circumstances, we may disclose the information we collect about you. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
- As Required By Law or to Protect Rights. If we believe that disclosure of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to address or resolve potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as required by applicable law.
- Affiliated Entities. We may share your information with our affiliated entities. In this case, we require that these affiliated companies comply with this data protection guideline. Affiliated companies include our parent company and all subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under joint control with us.
- Sale or insolvency. If we restructure or sell all or part of our assets, enter into a merger or are taken over by another company, we may transfer your data to the successor company.
8. USE OF GOOGLE SERVICES
We use Google Analytics to analyze our websites. The information generated by the analysis cookie about your use of our websites is collected and transmitted to Google Analytics and stored there. The transmitted data is aggregated and the IP addresses of the users are anonymized. Your email address, phone number, name and order data are not transmitted to Google Analytics. Google's advertising requirements can be summarized in the Google Advertising Principles. They were introduced to provide users with a positive experience.
We do not display personalized advertising, we only use basic targeting settings and we do not create target groups for advertising from personal information collected on our website.
Our website also uses Google Fonts. This service is used without authentication and our website does not send cookies to the Google Fonts API. For more information, see: Google Fonts API Privacy, Google Privacy Policy.
We have not activated Google AdSense on our website, but we may do so in the future.
9. USE OF LEADINFO
Leadinfo is a service that helps identify visitors to B2B websites. It can be used legally under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Marketing and analytics are considered a clear legitimate interest and the Leadinfo cookies are only activated on this website after the visitor has given their explicit consent. According to the GDPR, it is not allowed to use IP addresses to identify individuals. For this reason, Leadinfo does not track visitors who have accessed this website via a private connection. The GDPR does allow the use of business IP addresses for marketing and analytics purposes.
Leadinfo uses the visitor's IP address to obtain company data from public sources: It matches the visitor's IP address with a publicly available database of company data. ALPEIN Software as Leadinfo end user cannot see the visitor's IP address in his Leadinfo account. IP addresses are not stored and only general public business information of companies is provided in Leadinfo.

10. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECTS
(ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, RESTRICTION, ERASURE, PORTABILITY, OBJECTION)
You can request information about which types of your personal data are processed by ALPEIN at any time, as well as request the correction or deletion of these personal data.
If ALPEIN uses your personal data on the basis of your consent or to fulfill a contract with you, you can also request a copy of the personal data that you have provided to ALPEIN. In this case, please contact the e-mail address below and indicate which information or processing activities your request relates to, in which format you would like to receive this information and whether the personal data should be sent to you or to another recipient. ALPEIN will carefully review your request and discuss with you how it can best be fulfilled.

11. SENSITIVE DATA
ALPEIN Software will not collect or require disclosure of any sensitive personal data (such as ethnic origin, religion or medical records). However, if you choose to provide such sensitive personal data, ALPEIN Software may assume that this sensitive data is provided with your consent and can be processed by ALPEIN Software at its own discretion, unless you notify ALPEIN Software otherwise in writing.
12. USE OF THIS WEBSITE BY CHILDREN
This website is not intended for persons under the age of 16.
13. FAIR INFORMATION PRACTICES
We also agree to the principle of individual redress, which provides that individuals have the right to seek legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to comply with the law. This principle not only provides that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals can turn to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute violations by data processors.
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

The periods for which we store your personal data depend on the purposes for which we use it. ALPEIN stores your personal data for as long as you are a registered subscriber or user of our products or as long as we have any other business reason for doing so, and thereafter no longer than is required or permitted by law or ALPEIN's retention policy, insofar as necessary or permitted for internal reporting, conducting legitimate business interests, conducting audits, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements, or providing feedback or information you may request.
